Setting up for the finals : please read these special notes. 

We will begin with a welcome session to introduce IAGA and its initiatives. 
Followed by entering 2 Panels ,each with 5 or 6 presentations. 
10 minutes presentation (maximum), followed by 8 minutes of Q&A and 2 minutes of buffer. 

Enter only increments of 10: For example 60, 70 , but not 73.

Grading should range from 60 to 100. 60 being adequate, 80 very good, and 100 outstanding.
Please enter ONLY increments of 10:  60/70/80/90/100  for the finals to create consistency amongst judges. The overall grades will be combined to select the top 3 teams. 


Important: Please take the time to enter 1-2 sentences of feedback for each category , as students can highly benefit from your comments. Please do not leave blanks. These comments will be very beneficial to improving their publication papers. 

Evaluation Categories: 

Research  • Weight 40 % (research skill trained)
Did this team provide thorough research and backing for their recommendation? Did they consider all available resources and present a clean strategy? 

Innovation  • Weight 30 % (Innovation skill trained)
Did the team provide an innovative, yet realistic recommendation?

Teamwork  • Weight 30 % (team working skill trained)
Did the team showcase high caliber teamwork whether in building the presentation, reporting in their publication and answering the question and answers?

On the day of the competition, click on Evaluate and enter your feedback for each team.

FAQ 

What is a lead judge? A lead judge has an "*" next to their names in each panel, this judge has already experienced a panel, and will lead the rest of the group in the presentation session.

Judges Briefing:

 Together, there will be 21 judges meeting 49 teams. The majority of the teams will be seen on Sep 28. 

There are 3 criteria of evaluation :

  1. Clarity of the Presentation (30%)
  2. Analysis and Feasibility (50%)
  3. Question and Answers (20%)
Each team will have 10 minutes to present to you, then 10 minutes for you to discuss and ask them questions. 10 minutes for you to enter feedback on the platform and buffer time. Total of 30 minutes
  • Be sure to help them and encourage them to explain more. 
  • Be mindful that some teams may not have technical backgrounds. 
  • The objective is to encourage participation. 
The marks are between 0 to 100 for each criteria. 
  • 60 is considered adequate
  • 80 is considered well done
  • 100 is considered outstanding. 

Please take the time to enter thorough feedback of 2 -3 sentences in each category to help students improve in the future. They will be seeing this feedback. 

SPECIAL AWARDS

There are 5 rooms, your panel stays consistent for all presentations (you should have 8-9 presentations). 
While the top 2 teams are chosen by marks. Also select for these awards:

  • Award for Communication and Leadership 
  • Most Innovative Idea
  • Best Teamwork
