Checklist for your Article and Presentation LIA 2

Hi Everyone, 

Here is a checklist for your Journal Article and Presentation. 

Presentation: Begin building your final template: 

Slide 1 - Title with picture of each team member 
Slide 2 - Introduction - What is your research about and why is it relevant?
Slide 3-5 - Literature Review - in visual forms - Be detailed 
Slide 6 - Introduce your 3 hypotheses and reasoning behind them. 
Slide 7 - Present your overall research methodology plan (questionnaire, focus group) 
Slide 8-9 - Details about your questionnaire and logic in building it. Include Ethic Form.
Slide 10 - Overview of what you learnt
Slide 11 - Details about the focus group (process, preliminary results and findings) 
Slide 12 Conclusion (Avoid thank you, tell us what you foresee the next steps will be, be convincing)

  • Literature Review - Visual Form - Diagram 
  • Introduce 3 hypotheses - use highlights and bold to emphasize on key words 

 

LIA 3 Final Deliverables: For each section have a separator slide 

Section 1 - Introduction 

  • Introduction of the team, title of the research, short 2 sentences on what is the research about,  key words
  • Clear Introduction of no more than 1 sentence about your research, cite 2 values found in your research article

Section 2 - Literature Review 

  • Literature Review - Visual Form - Diagram (if you had just 1 slide to present your model, what would it look like?) 
  • Introduce 3 hypotheses - use highlights and bold to emphasize on key words 
  • What should the audience look forward to? 
  • *For all references, put the key ones in small font at the bottom of the page

Section 3 - Research Methodology 

  • Define your overall experimental strategy - what do you want to get from this data collection process?
  • Method 1 (Questionnaire) , make sure to state the number of participants, number of questions, summarize your questions to just give us a gist, the rest can go to the report. 

Journal Article : 

  • Organize a template file
  • Include a title page (1 page)
  • Set up an automatic table of content so that the pages, titles are automatically generated (1 page)
  • Executive Summary & Introduction (What are the 3 topics of your choice and a short sentence explaining why you value this topic, composition of your team, who are you, what major) (1 page)
  • Define each topic via a short literature review and the plan as to how you will conduct your research (1 page for each topic, 3 pages total)
  • References (draft references in APA format, keep track of all original sources) 
  • Find 15 research papers linked to your topic
  • Organize them by Author_Year_Title
  • Build an Ethics Form similar to the one in the template: Coffee Experience Project (Nov 28)-Submission v.1.pdf
  • Summarize and cite your literature review in no more than 2 pages.
  • Brainstorm 2 different methods to conduct your research, write out the process (.5 pages each = 2.5 pages)
  • Build a matrix on which would be best and provide you the most insight (1 page)
  • Begin detailing the process of the questionnaire and focus group (1 page each)
  • Plan to build a focus group interview with a group of 6 friends in advance (1 page for planning, 1 page for results)
  • Describe your reality target population and how to conduct your research, define your sampling method (1 page)
  • Conduct your research Focus Group with 6 friends
  • Conduct 1 other methodologies
  • Build a raw vs. clean dataset
  • Summarize in 2 pages with graphs of your results.
