Coaching Mandate

Throughout the semester, you will be assigned a team and a partner to coach. This includes building a relationship of teamwork and mentorship to help one another.

Coach Session

Dedicate 15 minutes to speak or meet with your assigned peer to come up with 3 help points that you can assist them with.
1 must be related to the course, 2 other ones can be related to student life at the college. Your goal is to make sure your peer feel at ease and that you are there to help them improve.

There are a 5 Coach Session Check-Ins, you can see a c on the schedule where you can plan to meet. The 5 sessions must be scattered and not rushed.

What do to after a coach session?

Send a text on Innovatank through the Coach Session Challenge together - cc-ing me with the general talk points and 3 help points each. Write down as notes if there is anything to be aware of.

Meet 2 by 2. If there are 3 students in your group, you will then meet 2x with each of the student individually.

Samie - I will help Bob work on his grammar and referencing
Bob - I will help Samie with her presentation skills so that she is not afraid next time she presents
Bob - I will help Samie discover different clubs at the school and meet some new friends
Bob - I will help Samie plan her LIA project so that she doesn't fall behind.
