Team 4 :  Global impact (macro) :  It helps with the growth of the economy, diversifies the market, and the creation of new jobs. However, the negative aspects would be over consumption, more waste in landfills (especially plastic), production is very polluting, over exploitation of natural resources, and climate change degradation. Industry (all companies): A positive would be greenwashing – companies are advertising products that are supposedly greener, however a negative angle would be aggressive advertising tends to push people to over consuming products and  money incentives encourages people to recycle/return items. Micro (Bopaq):  It's sustainable, eco-friendly, offering durable, high-quality containers designed for multiple uses, and it's suitable for various foodservice segments. However, they continue to encourage the consumption of fast food simply with more eco-friendly packaging

Team 4 : Looking at consumerism from all angles, it provides immense benefits economically, yet huge consequences environmentally. Consumerism boosts the economy and allows businesses to prosper, while circulating wealth. This aspect is essential for a healthy economy, making it the number 1 benefit of consumerism. On the other hand, consumerism causes landfills to reach full capacity and increases pollution. As fast as society purchases new products, they throw them away even faster. Consequently, consumerism is a huge factor of pollution and increases global waste. With that being said, the environment would be thriving if consumerism was banished, yet the economy would fall drastically.
