PART XI: The Close

PART XI: The Close

The final slide does not mean the presentation is over. Your close is the last opportunity to reinforce the problem, recommendation, and impact before the judges begin testing your thinking. Done well, it brings the presentation full circle and leaves the audience with a clear understanding of what you want them to remember. Then comes Q&A. The transition should not feel like the team has finished performing and is waiting to see what happens next. You are still advising the same people on the same decision in the same professional role. Start with purpose, finish with purpose, then defend the recommendation.
