How to Use a Mock-Up

I want to quickly discuss a tool that is often underutilised but can significantly enhance your presentations, making them more visual and memorable compared to your competitors: mock-ups.

Mock-ups are powerful visual tools that illustrate what a dashboard, advertising, product packaging, or social media content might look like. They allow judges to better envision what you are presenting, making your proposal more impactful.

One of the main limitations of using mock-ups is the time required to build them. However, creating even a simple mock-up can add significant visual appeal to your presentation.

For example, you can create a mock-up of a dashboard that shows what it would look like for the organisation you're discussing, allowing them to monitor the solution you're proposing. You can also develop a visual representation of a marketing campaign, such as what an Instagram ad might look like or the specific hashtags you'll be using in your social media campaign.

It's important to ensure that your mock-ups are tailored to the specific platforms you plan to use in your solution. This will help the audience, including judges, envision exactly how your proposed solution will come to life.
